NON SURGICAL PROCEDURES: Laser

Laser Hair Removal Procedure

Laser hair removal involves slowing down hair growth, by means of a light carrying special wavelengths. The strength of the light is maintained at level at which adequate damage is done to the end of the hair or the hair follicles to prevent or reduce the amount of hair that grows back.

Make sure to consult your doctor about this procedure of you are on any medication, as some medication reduces the effectiveness of the procedure. Undergoing laser hair removal can also be associated with some health risks if in combination with certain medication.

A small, manageable amount of pain is common in some individuals. However, if the treatment is being administered in sensitive areas such as the armpits and the groin/bikini region, pain will be slightly more severe.

A numbing lotion is available to be applied in the target region for those who are concerned about the pain.
